Yoga for Anxiety & Depression a 4 week workshop with Laura Hasenstien & Haiyan Khan
In todays stressful world, anxiety and depression are rampant. Understand what these are and how you can use ancient techniques of yoga, breathing, mind fullness and meditation to overcome this rampant disease and start to experience deeper and lasting happiness. Most Anxiety and Depression are psycosomatic, that is that they are caused by due to stress, internal conflicting beliefs etc.
In this workshop we will take a deep dive into what the causes of anxiety and depression are. We will then learn the different tools that yoga offers like intentional breathing, meditation, mindfullness to help not only reduce and eventually erradicate anxiety and depression. This 4 week workshop will include specific poses for both anxiety/depression, specific breathing techniques, guided meditations, weekly assignments and group processes. While getting over depression and anxiety may take time, you will learn what you can do and how your ways of thinking might be perpetuating this.
